Specification

Exotic wood floors are characterised by a rich palette of colours and unconventional grain patterns, which highlight their uniqueness. Our offer includes wood species with varying hardness levels and resistance to external factors. Thanks to the specific properties of exotic woods — such as hardness, low shrinkage rate, natural oily substances, and mechanical resistance — floors made from them can be used in public and commercial spaces. We offer various board thicknesses and widths, available in both solid and engineered versions adapted for underfloor heating. For more details, feel free to contact us.

Due to the geographical regions and specific conditions in which exotic trees grow, they exhibit different characteristics compared to their European counterparts.

Jatoba (Brazilian cherry) grows in Central and South America, in subtropical forests and mountainous rainforests. Thanks to its very high density and straight‑grained structure, jatoba is one of the hardest wood species.

Other hard exotic species include merbau, rosewood, and doussie. Floors made from these woods perform exceptionally well in areas exposed to heavy use and mechanical wear.

Another important parameter is the wood’s tendency to warp. The lower the warping coefficient, the greater the dimensional stability of the floor under changing temperature and humidity conditions.

Stable exotic species include doussie, merbau, iroko, and teak. Thanks to this, they can be successfully used in bathrooms and rooms exposed to moisture.
