Interior balustrades are often the main decorative element of the stairs. When choosing a balustrade, one should consider the interior style, safety, and the construction of the wooden stairs.
A glass balustrade fits any interior style and any type of stairs. For modern interiors, a glass balustrade mounted on point fixings works best, while in more classic spaces, glass installed between wooden posts is the ideal choice.
It is also a safe solution when small children are at home — there is no risk of a child slipping through. For our glass balustrades, we use laminated tempered glass VSG/ESG 8.8.4 or 6.6.2, depending on the installation method.
Wrought iron balustrades look beautiful in palace‑style or baroque interiors, as well as in elegant living rooms and hallways. Wrought iron balustrades are a unique detail that, combined with a wooden handrail, enriches the staircase.
Steel balustrades come in many versions, including:
Rails and steel rods mounted between wooden posts or topped with a wooden handrail are a good solution for industrial and modern interiors.
Balustrades made of thin steel cables placed between steel or wooden posts pair perfectly with modern stairs, such as LED‑lit treads.
Wooden balusters are the essence of classic design. They work well in traditional, rustic, and colonial interiors. Wooden posts can have various shapes: square, rounded, or decorative. A wooden balustrade can be finished in a colour contrasting with the stair treads, as shown in the photos below.
